Also known as a “Sweep Account” this is an on demand investment account that offers better yields than the liquid funds in a checking account.
Available only for corporations. A minimum balance of $50,000 is required and the funds available in the checking account above this amount are transferred and invested in negotiable instruments of the Federal Government of the United States and its Agencies. The funds are transferred back to the checking accounts when the balance in this goes below the pre-established minimum. Interest is adjusted weekly based on an average rate related to the “overnight” rate of the Federal Reserve Bank, and are credited monthly.
Investments are detailed in a separate account statement.
